TIPS ON HEAT LEAVE ME COLD
UNLESS the forecasters got their millibars in a muddle we should all be enjoying that rare British phenomenon known as a Bank Holiday Scorcher.

Like: “Create your own fan by folding a thick piece of card.” Genius!
And also: “Avoid the oven.” Phew, that could have been sticky. Then the blindingly clever: “Close the curtains because letting sunlight in makes the room hotter.” Sorted.
But one tip left me even more hot and bothered than when I started.
“Stick your bedding in the freezer for a couple of minutes,” it said.
How the heck can you get a duvet and four pillows inside and still shut the door?
