Cloo gifts village £1k

GEORGE Clooney gave £1,000 to help renovate a village hall near his home in Britain.

The Hollywood actor, 56, and lawyer wife Amal, 39, have a £10million mansion in Sonning, Oxon.

The cash will help Dunsden Village Hall reach its £ 400,000 target for repairs and improvements so locals can enjoy events like bingo and whist drives.

A villager said “George and his wife t hrow themselves into the social life and are friendly.

“This donation has been received very well and we’re all extremely grateful for their support.”
