TOP COP: CAPITAL CARRIES ON
LONDON will not be stopped by terror, Met Commissioner Cressida Dick said yesterday as she highlighted a greater visible police presence on the capital’s streets.
The force chief joined officers in some of the busiest areas, travelling by Tube to Waterloo station and patrolling the South Bank tourist hotspot.
“London has not stopped after other terrible attacks and it will not stop after this one,” she vowed. Ms Dick said the public should feel “utterlyy reassured” by the police presence. She added: ““People seem very positive about the numb number of officers. London does not give in to terrorists. We never have. So transport is running and e events are going ahead. ““My main message is, ‘ ‘Carry on with your business but of course be alert’.”
