Revenge is not cricket
A GROUNDSMAN fired by Derbyshire County Cricket Club took revenge hours before a match.
Chris Hallam, 33, caused £ 3,000 of damage by slashing covers and pouring liquid into a machine.
Hallam, of Derby, did not know the club had installed CCTV since his sacking. At city magistrates he admitted criminal damage and was given an eightweek suspended jail term, a 12-week curfew and was told to pay £3,000 compo.
