Face post nails thief
A BURGLAR filmed stealing wedding rings and kids’ pocket money is behind bars thanks to Facebook.
Police collared Colin Ellinor after home security footage from two raids were posted on social media.
Ellinor, 55, was caught on a motion-sensor camera after smashing a window with a brick at a home in Climping, West Sussex.
He took £3,000 in cash and jewellery, including two wedding rings, and cash from kids’ money boxes.
A retired cop recognised Ellinor from the Facebook post and alerted police.
Seventeen days later he was again caught on motion sensor cameras, trying to break into a house in Bognor Regis. The images were shared on Facebook.
At Lewes crown court Ellinor, of no fixed address, admitted burglary and attempted burglary.
He was jailed for a total of three years.
DC Jon Woolley, from the West Sussex Community Investigation Team, said: “Social media played a key role in bringing this prolific burglar to justice.” FIREMEN with grinders spent three hours freeing a man whose penis was stuck in the hole of a 2.5kilo gym weight in Worms, Germany.
