School run by boy, 15

A BOY aged 15 was caught be­hind the wheel on the school run with his fouryear-old sis­ter and dad, in a car which had false plates.

Of­fi­cers pulled the Ford Fo­cus over af­ter spot­ting no one had a seat­belt on.

Stafford­shire Po­lice had been run­ning a road safety op­er­a­tion around a pri­mary school in Stoke on Fri­day.

They said: “It fo­cused on chil­dren who were not cor­rectly re­strained when be­ing taken to Mill Hill Academy.”

The teenager, who can­not be named, was re­ported for driv­ing with­out a li­cence and in­sur­ance, his dad for al­low­ing his son to do so.

Academy head Michaela Moore wel­comed the po­lice ac­tion “as pupils’ safety is of ut­most im­por­tance”.
