Rafa: Jug can handle top flight

NEWCASTLE boss Rafa Benitez is hot on the trail of central defender Jakub Jugas from SLAVIA PRAGUE.

Scouts have watched the 25-year-old’s last three matches and believe his power and presence are perfect for the Premier League.

Jugas is a Czech international and has a contract until 2020, but Benitez (below) hopes to snap him up in January for just £2million.

Toon face competition from clubs in Italy and Germany.
