Southgate tempted to try out Plan H

GARETH SOUTHGATE is considering giving Harry Winks (right) and Harry Maguire their England debuts in Vilnius.

Southgate will go 3-4-3 on the 3G pitch and included Spurs midfielder Winks and Leicester defender Maguire in his final training session.

Winks, 21, was only promoted to the senior squad last week but Southgate is desperate to add a player with good passing ability into his midfield.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain trained at right wing-back, with Aaron Cresswell and Daniel Sturridge also in the frame.

Southgate said: “We can connect the ball better [with a back three]. It gives us more stability in transition.”
