Guru’s £1.2k jaunt to study ice maidens

WOMEN’S minister Victoria Atkins was asked by shadow international development Secretary Kate Osamor to list overseas trips taken by government Equalities Office officials.

One caught my eye – a £1,200 jaunt to Reykjavik to “further understanding of real women’s experiences of gender equality in Iceland”.

Real women? As opposed to what? Deep frozen women? Snow women? Or given it’s Iceland, Kerry Katona?
