Trump: I’d hit Saudis overkilling

The People - - NEWS FEATURES - By Karen Rockett

DONALD Trump warned Saudi Arabia it would be “severely punished” if it is proven it murdered journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Washington Post writer Mr Khashoggi, a critic of the Saudis, was allegedly tortured and killed at its embassy in Istanbul, Turkey, early this month.

A Turkish security source said its spies had audio evidence of Mr Khashoggi’s screams as he was beaten, then hacked to pieces.

Tory former Foreign Secretary Sir Malcolm Rifkind called for sanctions against Saudi Arabia.

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres urged the Saudis to tell the truth, saying he feared such disappearances would become a “new normal”.

Saudi Arabia called accusations it ordered Mr Khashoggi’s killing “lies”.

Technical experts doubted a claim that his Apple watch recorded the alleged torture and sent the data to his iphone which his fiancée held outside the embassy. SHOCKED Larissa Hill, 48, found a wallaby napping in her double bed before it hopped it after an hour in Mataranka, Northern Australia.
