Anti-crime DIY ewe-nit
COPS traced a stolen sheep – then told the farmers to go and fetch it themselves.
A trucker saw it being put in a car on a mountain road and gave police the rustler’s number plate.
Officers found the ewe grazing in a family home’s garden ten miles away. But they left it there and would not go with owners Patricia Vaughan, 67, and husband Ivor, 70, to collect it.
Angry Patricia, of Bwlch, Powys, said: “You shouldn’t have to go alone to recover stolen property, as we did.”
Police said: “We verbally warned a local woman, 34.”
