CAP SLEEVES

With 3.25 mm nee­dles, cast on 97 (101, 107, 111, 117, 121, 127, 131) sts and work 2 rows in rib as on front. Change to 4 mm nee­dles and con­tinue in rib and shape top:

Next row – Rib un­til 4 sts rem, turn.

Next row – Sl1 firmly, rib un­til 4 sts rem, turn.

Next 2 rows – Sl1 firmly, rib un­til 8 sts rem, turn. Next 2 rows – Sl1 firmly, rib un­til 12 sts rem, turn. Con­tinue in this way work­ing 4 sts fewer at end of rows un­til the 2 rows “sl1 firmly, rib un­til 36 sts rem, turn” have been worked.

Next row – Sl1 firmly, rib to end. Cast off in rib.

TO COM­PLETE

Neckband – With right-side fac­ing, and 3.25 mm set of nee­dles, slip 4 sts from length of yarn at top of right half of front on to the nee­dle with point fac­ing to­wards side edge of right half of front, pick up and knit 14 (15, 15, 16, 16, 17, 17, 18) sts from cast-off sts, pick up and knit 20 (20, 22, 22, 23, 23, 24, 24) sts evenly to top of right shoul­der, knit across 44 (46, 46, 48, 48, 50, 50, 52) back neck sts dec 1 st at cen­tre, pick up and knit 20 (20, 22, 22, 23, 23, 24, 24) sts down left side edge of neck, pick up and knit 14 (15, 15, 16, 16, 17, 17, 18) sts from left front cast-off sts, then K4 across sts on yarn – 119 (123, 127, 131, 133, 137, 139, 143) sts.

1st row – K2, P2, K2, P1, [K1, P1] un­til 6 sts rem, K2, P2, K2.

2nd row – K4, P2, K1, [[P1, K1] un­til 6 sts rem, P2, K4. Rep these 2 rows twice more. Cast off in rib.

To Make Up – Place a marker ap­prox­i­mately 45 (47, 50, 53, 55, 58, 61, 63) rows down from each shoul­der on side edge. Stitch cast-off edges of sleeves be­tween mark­ers. Join side seams. Stitch down the two cast-on sts of neck un­der­wrap.
