Like most fish, haddock is a useful source of vitamins B3, B6 and B12, which help to produce energy in the body and are important for a healthy nervous system and mental wellbeing.

Haddock also provides potassium, phosphorus and selenium, but it’s particularly rich in iodine. This mineral helps to keep the thyroid gland (which controls our metabolism) working properly – a 140 g serving of grilled haddock provides almost four times our daily need for iodine.

So why not ask your fishmonger for haddock and add to curry instead of chicken or use to make fish pie?
