Crocuses

A poem just for you!

The People's Friend - - Your Letters -

A lovely yellow crocus

Has opened in the sun,

And cheers us with its golden glow, Though spring has scarce begun. The soil will still be chilly,

And days may still be cold,

But soon its brave companions Their petals will unfold.

And as the days grow longer And sunny hours are bright, These lovely flowers of springtime Will fill us with delight.

Rosemary Bennett.
