The People's Friend - - Health -

The high protein content of eggs makes them useful for making you feel fuller for longer, so you can keep your food consumption down. US research has shown that eating eggs for breakfast could help limit your daily calorie intake by more than 400 calories. Other studies (from the University of Finland) have shown that eating eggs can protect against diabetes (four eggs per week can slash the risk by 40%). Experts believe the nutrients in eggs improve the way the body metabolises sugar, and help to dampen down the inflammation which can lead to chronic illness, including Type 2 diabetes.
