Get fit with tai chi class at libraries
LIBRARIES in rural areas are offering classes in the ancient Chinese art of tai chi.
Four libraries in Fenland and Huntingdonshire will be hosting the classes from June 4. They are being run by a partnership of Dancing For Fun and Better Health and Living Sport.
Living Sport is the sports partnership for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and Dancing For Fun and Better Health is part of Age Concern’s Fit As A Fiddle campaign, funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
The classes are fun, informal sessions for the over 50s and will be held at Wisbech Library, in Ely Place, Wisbech, from 2pm to 3pm on June 16; Chatteris Library, in Furrowfields Road, Chatteris, from 2pm to 3pm on June 17; Huntingdon Library, in Princes Street, Huntingdon, from 2pm to 3pm on June 18 and at March Library, in City Road, March, from 4pm to 5pm on June 18.
