Get fit with tai chi class at li­braries

LI­BRARIES in ru­ral ar­eas are of­fer­ing classes in the an­cient Chi­nese art of tai chi.

Four li­braries in Fen­land and Hunt­ing­don­shire will be host­ing the classes from June 4. They are be­ing run by a part­ner­ship of Danc­ing For Fun and Bet­ter Health and Liv­ing Sport.

Liv­ing Sport is the sports part­ner­ship for Cam­bridgeshire and Peter­bor­ough and Danc­ing For Fun and Bet­ter Health is part of Age Con­cern’s Fit As A Fid­dle cam­paign, funded by the Big Lot­tery Fund.

The classes are fun, in­for­mal ses­sions for the over 50s and will be held at Wis­bech Li­brary, in Ely Place, Wis­bech, from 2pm to 3pm on June 16; Chat­teris Li­brary, in Fur­row­fields Road, Chat­teris, from 2pm to 3pm on June 17; Hunt­ing­don Li­brary, in Princes Street, Hunt­ing­don, from 2pm to 3pm on June 18 and at March Li­brary, in City Road, March, from 4pm to 5pm on June 18.
