Speed limits are not compulsory
REGARDS the comment made by your correspondent who signs himself “the fool on the hill” on the message board in the ET on Friday, May 28th.
There goes a reckless driver if ever I saw one – he should be made to take a re-test just for the silly letter.
Does he not know that just because it says 30, 40, 50, 60, 70 mph you don’t need to travel at that speed, there is no lower speed limit on A and B roads – you can even walk on them. However there is on a motorway, which I believe is 30mph and you cannot walk there.
I can now understand why he signs him or herself as a fool.
