AFAMILY and Friends Advantage scheme is now available at three Taylor Wimpey developments in Peterborough.
This investment opportunity offers friends or relatives providing a deposit up to 20 per cent of the price of a selected new home at any of the developments a guaranteed five per cent return on their outlay every year for the next five years.
For example, a £30,000 deposit on a property costing £150,000 would guarantee a return of £1,500 each year and a total of £7,500 over the five-year period – that’s a quarter of the overall investment amount!
This incentive is available now with selected new Taylor Wimpey homes at Broadway Fields in Yaxley, Vision in Hampton Vale and Willowcroft in Eye.
“Many first-time buyers are receiving help in finding the deposit needed to step on to the property ladder, whether from parents, grandparents or others who are close to them,” said Kelly French, the firm’s regional sales and marketing director.
“Family and Friends Advantage is an innovative scheme which offers these people a financial reward, and can work out better for the investor than having the money sitting in the bank. But because the scheme is only available on a limited selection of homes, we’re urging people to get in touch now to find out more – and make sure they don’t miss out!”
A range of lenders is supporting the new Family and Friends Advantage scheme, and Halifax is offering an exclusive range of fixed and tracker mortgages with a loan to value of 80 per cent for Taylor Wimpey customers using the incentive. This comes with an added financial benefit of refunding the valuation fee direct to the purchaser.
Just one of the homes available with this incentive is the fourbedroomed Claret, priced at £181,995 at Vision in Hampton Vale. This semi-detached town house boasts a spacious lounge/dining room opening through French doors to the rear garden, a separate contemporary kitchen/breakfast room and a guest cloakroom off the hall.
Upstairs, the accommodation is laid out across two storeys, with two well-proportioned bedrooms and a main bathroom located off the first-floor landing and an en suite master bedroom sharing the top floor with a further good-sized bedroom.
Like all new homes at each of the three developments, the Claret is finished to a high standard specification including double glazing, central heating and fully-fitted kitchen with oven, hob and hood. Alternatively, the fourbedroomed Azalea detached house is priced at £223,995 at Vision, while prices at Broadway Fields start at only £174,995 and homes at Willowcroft are priced from £110,000.
Vision and Broadway Fields are part of well-served communities on the southern edge of Peterborough, bordering the Cambridgeshire countryside yet with easy access to the city centre and major road and rail networks. The communities have their own shops, schools and leisure amenities. Willowcroft in Eye, on the eastern edge of Peterborough, offers everything to keep life local, and is also just a few minutes from the city centre by road.
