Uffington youngster set to train with Dallaglio
A SCHOOLBOY from Uffington has won a trip to Twickenham to be coached by former England rugby union captain Lawrence Dallaglio.
Nine year-old Charlie PenroseToms impressed selectors at a recent Sacla’ rugby festival at Holt, Norfolk. He is one of hundreds of children aged between six and 18 who will be put through their paces by Dallaglio this Saturday.
Charlie (pictured right) attends Uffington Church of England Primary School and plays his rugby for Stamford. He said: “I’m really looking forward to meeting Lawrence Dallaglio, and playing at Twickenham will be amazing. It’s great to have this opportunity and hopefully it will inspire me to do even better in the future.”
Sacla’, the Italian pesto pioneers, recently announced a ground breaking partnership with the Rugby Football Union to support over 100 grass roots festivals in the UK.
