Nurses join heart health campaign
A TEAM of cardiac nurses at Peterborough District Hospital are supporting the Arrhythmia Alliance’s ‘Know Your Pulse’ campaign to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of an irregular heartbeat.
The team will be displaying information and answering questions at PDH, on Thorpe Road, on June 7 and, on June 8, at Stamford Hospital.
They are supporting the campaign to make people aware of cardiac arrhythmia, abnormal electrical activity in the heart which affects its beat. They can be fatal if undiagnosed.
More than two million people in the UK have an arrhythmia and it affects people of any age.
