City needs action on rough sleepers
MANY rough sleepers have been given the chance to go home after migrant camps in Peterborough have been visited by officials.
a survey by the city council revealed 26 rough sleepers in the city centre, 22 of whom were migrants.
That shows the extent of the problem. The rough sleepers need help and the city can’t sustain them.
The scheme which has tackled 77 cases so far is a start but more needs to be done to solve the problem in the city.
