The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Sport -

PETERBOROUGH Ladies Under 16s made sure their debut season came complete with some silverware.

The city aces triumphed in their final game of the season to snatch the Cambs Girls League title.

Natasha Applegate led the way with five goals in an 8-1 demolition of Bishop’s Stortford which carried Pasky Ciarla’s side to the summit on goal difference.

The city lasses fell behind early on but Applegate levelled with the first of her five goals. Britt Ciarla soon had Peterborough on top before Applegate completed a first period hat-trick to make it 4-1 at the break.

Applegate soon struck again after the restart before a fine solo goal from Georgia Howsam made it 6-1. Ciarla volleyed her second before Applegate added the final gloss to a great season.
