Golden boy Skelhon hits per­fect score

STIL­TON sharp­shooter Matt Skelhon has been in per­fect form again.

Com­pet­ing in the IPC World Cup in France, Skelhon helped the GB team to vic­tory with an­other deadly dis­play of ri­fle shoot­ing.

The Paralympic cham­pion got the team off to a win­ning start, tak­ing top spot in the R3 10m air ri­fle prone SH1 mixed com­pe­ti­tion with an­other per­fect score of 600. He also hit 600 in the Ger­man World Cup a week be­fore­hand. A 600 max­i­mum is equiv­a­lent to the world record and is made up of 59 in­ner 10s.

Ja­son Maroney of Aus­tralia took sil­ver and Va­syl Ko­valchuk of the Ukraine the bronze.

GB also took the team gold in the same event through Skelhon, Deana Coates and Nathan Mil­gate and over­all re­turned with three golds, four sil­vers and two bronze medals.
