Drink driver jailed after third offence
A MAN has been jailed for 12 weeks after being caught drink driving for the third time in five years.
Arturas Samuilis, of Fengate, Peterborough, registered 91 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath when pulled over in Bishop’s Road, Peterborough at 2.30am on Wednesday. Prosecutor Giles Beaumont said Samuilis was convicted of drink driving in 2005 and 2008 and was serving a driving ban when he committed his latest offence.
Yesterday at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court he was given 12 weeks in jail for drink driving and driving while disqualified, to run concurrently, plus a four year driving ban.
