Gar­den Open Day – Ferry Mead­ows Coun­try Park – June 16. Pop in to Ferry Mead­ows and speak to Nene Park Trust Park Ranger and hor­ti­cul­tur­ist Peter Gen­tle­man, who will be ex­plain­ing how the trust man­ages its for­mal gar­den ar­eas. Peter­bor­ough Wildlife Ex­plor­ers – A Bug’s Life – Ferry Mead­ows Coun­try Park – June 27. Ex­plore the microscopic jun­gle team­ing with bug life on Coney Meadow and the aerial bat­tles of drag­on­flies over the lakes. From 10am to noon at Ferry Mead­ows vis­i­tor cen­tre. Join park ranger Steve Wick­ens for a gen­tle six mile stroll along the River Nene to Wans­ford where you will catch a train at the Nene Val­ley Rail­way to re­turn to the park.
