A perfect evening of ballet

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Tonight’s Tv -

THE perfect ballet evening for all the family is coming to the Key Theatre with the return of Images of Dance.

The talented young dancers, directed by former Royal Ballet principal Margaret Barbieri, will present three sparkling new ballets.

They range from the elegant classicism of Renato Paroni’s Slavonic Serenade (Dvorak) to the lush splendour of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence in American choreographer Dominic Walsh’s finest English commission.

Christopher Marney (Ballet Boyz, New Adventures) closes this entertaining evening with his glamourously costumed comedy of manners Carnival Of The Animals.

Images Of Dance are an annual treat for ballet lovers at the Peterborough venue, and their programme appeals equally to the young as to older lovers of classical dance.

The show is on Monday, and tickets cost £12 from 01733 207239. It starts at 7.30pm.
