Big game, Big Wigs, big fund-raiser
SHIELD Technologies, one of 14 local businesses to have committed to the Sue Ryder Care Big Wig Challenge, still has a handful of tickets available for its football and auction evening.
The Peterborough IT support company is attempting to raise as much money as possible for Thorpe Hall Hospice by showing England’s opening World Cup game against USA on the big screen at Orton Hall Hotel. It will then auction some fantastic items, including an England shirt signed by the late Sir Bobby Robson, signed shirts from Manchester United and Peterborough United, a pair of passes for the European Golf Tour, a four-night break in a Norfolk cot- tage, and, for business leaders, website design and hosting.
The evening starts at 6.30pm on Saturday, June 12 and tickets are priced at £25 each, which includes an American themed buffet prior to kick-off at 7.30pm.
