Big game, Big Wigs, big fund-raiser

SHIELD Tech­nolo­gies, one of 14 lo­cal busi­nesses to have com­mit­ted to the Sue Ry­der Care Big Wig Chal­lenge, still has a hand­ful of tick­ets avail­able for its foot­ball and auc­tion evening.

The Peter­bor­ough IT sup­port com­pany is at­tempt­ing to raise as much money as pos­si­ble for Thorpe Hall Hospice by show­ing Eng­land’s open­ing World Cup game against USA on the big screen at Or­ton Hall Ho­tel. It will then auc­tion some fan­tas­tic items, in­clud­ing an Eng­land shirt signed by the late Sir Bobby Rob­son, signed shirts from Manch­ester United and Peter­bor­ough United, a pair of passes for the Euro­pean Golf Tour, a four-night break in a Nor­folk cot- tage, and, for busi­ness lead­ers, web­site de­sign and host­ing.

The evening starts at 6.30pm on Satur­day, June 12 and tick­ets are priced at £25 each, which in­cludes an Amer­i­can themed buf­fet prior to kick-off at 7.30pm.
