Vol­un­teers brighten city school

WITH paint brushes in hand, a group of vol­un­teers helped to brighten up a city pri­mary school.

Leighton Pri­mary School, in Or­ton Mal­borne, Peter­bor­ough, ben­e­fited as staff from RSA Peter­bor­ough came in to do some paint­ing and main­te­nance work which had been needed for around six to 12 months.

The in­surance firm has been send­ing teams of its staff into the com­mu­nity as part of the cel­e­bra­tions of RSA’s 300th an­niver­sary.

As part of the cel­e­bra­tions and the firm’s Cor­po­rate Re­spon­si­bil­ity Pro­gramme, staff are be­ing given dou­ble the time dur­ing work hours to vol­un­teer in their com­mu­ni­ties.
