PETERBOROUGH City Rowing Club’s Women’s Junior 15 coxed four were medal winners at the National Schools Regatta.

Georgia Swain, Gemma Titchmarsh, Paige Phillips, Meghan Lawless and cox Serena Ward claimed the bronze medal at the event held at the National Watersports Centre in Nottingham at the weekend.

The club’s junior boys also made it through to the final of the Junior 14 quads but a broken blade when leading dashed their hopes.

Philippa Neill was also a medal winner at the event. As reported earlier this week, Neill took bronze and silver in double sculls and quads.

Some of the older members of the club were also in action at the Doncaster Regatta at the weekend with Megan Rogers, Ella Lamming, Ericha Knowles, Annabell Pitcher and cox Kate Wallace beating a team from Hull University in the final of the Women’s Intermediate Coxed Fours.

And there was more success for cox Wallace when she jumped in a boat with Hayley Marsters, Jo Canton, Bridget Lloyd and Sarah Cook to take first place in the Masters Coxed Fours event.

BRONZE MEDAL: For Georgia Swain, Paige Phillips, Gemma Titchmarsh, Meghan Lawless and cox Serena Ward.
