The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Uk&world Update -

A CROWLAND garden centre is inviting people to take part in a survey about a special type of bumblebee this month.

The garden centre, on the B1166 Postland Road, is backing the Bumblebee Conservation Trust’s (BBCT) Tree Bee Survey as part of its Insect and Wildlife Week, which runs from June 21 until June 27.

The survey also involes the Bees, Wasps and Ants Recording Society. It aims to get people to report sightings of one of the nation’s newest bees, the tree bumblebee, which arrived in 2001 from France. It has a brown central body, black abdomen and white tail. For more information and to take part in the survey, please visit www.bumblebeeconservation.
