Shocking murder – someone must know the killer

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your Telegraph -

AS police reveal more details of the death of Alan Wood, the true extent of the man’s horrific ordeal makes shocking reading.

Tied up, tortured, murdered and possibly mutilated as he lay dead, it was a crime that shocked the tiny village of Lound near Bourne in October last year.

The level of violence used, possibly over a three-day period, has even stunned experienced detectives handling the case.

So while some people might find the details disturbing – which they are – police are right to go public in the hope of tracking his killer or killers.

There may be people reading this who know who is responsible or at least have a suspicion. And this might just be the trigger to bring them out of the woodwork.

A reward now standing at £60,000 is another incentive, of course.

Anyone capable of such a ferocious and depraved murder should not be walking the streets.

The sooner the police get them behind bars, the better.
