In the headlines for wrong reasons
JUST recently Peterborough has made the national headlines more than once.
Firstly, for being the capital city for migrants. It seems we now have almost as many people from overseas here as local born and bred English.
Secondly, we now have the dubious reputation for being top of the table when it comes to minding one’s own business – even to the extent that if we drop down dead in the middle of the city we could lie there for up to two hours before anyone would enquire whether or not we need help.
It’s a pity that when Peterborough is brought to the attention of the media nationally it is usually something detrimental. ANTHONY B L MARTYN Elton Road
