Families gear up for challenge
FAMILIES were all geared up for a green-themed challenge.
Hundreds descended on Ferry Meadows on Bank Holiday Monday to take part in a family outdoor challenge, as part of this year’s Green Festival.
Supported by Cono Sur, who produce organic wines, the event saw mums, dads and children embark on a cycle ride around the park while having a go at some family friendly challenges along the route.
From watching out for wildlife and climbing a spider mountain to following clues, solving riddles and having a go at archery . And after the event, families enjoyed a well-earned picnic, browsed stalls and even visited a special bike doctor.
Peterborough Environment City Trust spokeswoman Nyree Ambarchian said: “The day was brilliant.
“We were a bit apprehensive but we had more than 100 families taking part. Next year will be even bigger.”
