Women’s Centre boosting confidence
T THE centre, in St Peter’s Arcade, has been established to help women overcome barriers to setting up their own business.
From childcare arrangements to lack of confidence, women can often find themselves giving up before they’ve even begun trying to realise their dream.
The centre is funded by Peterborough City Council and the East of England Development Agency, and aims to be a one-stop shop for women to get advice, training and guidance on setting up and running a business.
There is a training room, a café which will showcase women in catering, and a hot desk area for women to use the centre’s computers or even to bring in their own laptops if they want a break from home.
Importantly, there is also a creche to allow women to access the services while not worrying about childcare.
