RESIDENTS can pick up a new language on a special course at a city college later this month.

Peterborough College of Adult Education in Brook Street is holding a short, one-day German language course for beginners on Saturday, June 19.

The course, which costs £30, is aimed at people who have little or no German language experience and want to learn the basics.

Market Development Manager at the College, Jackie Hall, said “Although German hasn’t been as popular as other languages over the recent past, lots of people continue to ask us to run German language courses. Many have learned German at school and simply wish to refresh their skills, others want to learn the language for their travels or to communicate with friends and relatives.

The course will help people learn the basics and includes how to introduce yourself to others, book hotels or other travel arrangements and order food and drinks.”

The course will run from 10am until 4pm. To book, or to find out more, phone (01733) 761361, email admin@ pcae.ac.uk, visit www.pals.ac.uk or call into the College in Brook Street.
