A NEW minor oral surgery service in Peterborough welcomed a visit from three patient representatives.

Keith Smith, Joan Ellis and Mil Bishop paid a visit to the new Dental Access Centre in Midgate.

Their opinions and work between April and December 2009 informed NHS Peterborough’s decision to award its minor oral surgery contract to Oasis Dental Care. They were also key in making sure the service was located in an accessible city centre location.

Sarah Shuttlewood, of NHS Peterborough, said: “We’re committed to providing high quality, value for money, locally-delivered services that are accessible to all. Our commitment is to listen to views of local people and take them into consideration when planning new services.”
