Summer jazz concerts for city centre
THE first in a summer series of jazz concerts took place in Peterborough city centre yesterday.
Freedies Jazz Men played the first concert in Cathedral Square, to celebrate the completion of the renovation of the city centre.
Every week there will be a different band playing a two hour set in the square, between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday afternoons. The concerts will run until Sunday, September 12.
This weekend the slot will be filled by Savoy Jazz, with the March Brass Band playing the following weekend and The Wississippi Jazz Band performing on June 27.
