Busi­ness acu­men proves use­ful

A PAIR of con­sci­en­tious col­lege stu­dents have been us­ing their bur­geon­ing busi­ness skills for a good cause.

Niomi Na­grecha (17) and Sha­bana Latif (18), who are study­ing their BTEC Na­tional in Busi­ness at Peter­bor­ough Re­gional Col­lege, were one of a num­ber of groups of busi­ness stu­dents chal­lenged to run fun- drais­ing events.

The pair were given the task of plan­ning, mar­ket­ing and run­ning a raf­fle in the stu­dent com­mon room, rais­ing £86.87 for their cho­sen char­ity, Deaf­blind UK.

Busi­ness lec­turer Erica Simms said: “I am re­ally pleased with all the groups, they have re­ally taken to these projects and their ef­forts show.”
