Three sites play host to com­mu­nity day

IT is promis­ing to be a fun-filled Satur­day for res­i­dents with a whole host of ac­tiv­i­ties on of­fer at the Dogsthorpe Com­mu­nity Day. Or­gan­ised by lo­cal churches, schools and the Old Dogsthorpe Res­i­dents’ As­so­ci­a­tion, there will be mul­ti­ple events run­ning at three sites in the neigh­bour­hood be­tween 10.30am and 12.30pm. There will be mu­sic, ra­dio-con­trolled cars, car boot sales, sum­mer fay-res, bar­be­cues, bouncy cas­tles and fun fairs split be­tween Dogsthorpe Methodist Church, in Birchtree Av­enue; Dogsthorpe In­fants School, in Cen­tral Av­enue and Christ the Car­pen­ter Parish Church, in Ch­est­nut Av­enue.
