Jubilant Bill wins flagship Jaguar XJ
ALOCAL man has won the first new Jaguar XJ off the production line after taking part in a once-in-alifetime competition.
Bill Barber, from Ramsey, won the all-new luxury saloon – Jaguar’s flagship model worth more than £62,000.
He entered a national prize draw competition to raise funds for the NSPCC’s telephone helplines. It was the first initiative in a national partnership between Jaguar and the NSPCC.
The NSPCC is running a three-year Child’s Voice Appeal to raise £50 million for its helplines.
The money will help grow ChildLine, so it can answer every call, text and e-mail from children.
It will also go towards developing the NSPCC helpline for adults worried about a child.

A jubilant Bill, who has been a supporter of the NSPCC for several years, said: “I entered the competition because it was for such a good cause, but I never expected to win it. However, I’m absolutely delighted that I have and can’t wait to get behind the wheel of such a stunning car.”
Daniel Cooper, general manager at Marshall Jaguar Peterborough, said: “My congratulations go to Bill, who is now the proud owner of an all-new XJ. Jaguar is a long-standing supporter of the NSPCC and we are delighted that the competition has helped towards its Child’s Voice Appeal.”
Sleek, sporting and sophisticated, the all-new Jaguar XJ brings a daring new spirit to automotive luxury – it offers a seductive mix of striking design, breathtaking performance and engineering without compromise.
The all-new XJ’s cabin is a marvel in its own right, blending elegant, contemporary design with the comfort, luxury and unmistakable sporting style of a Jaguar.
