Green fun day helps inspire pupils

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Uk&world Update -

FROM making recycled musical instruments to creating a hotel for bugs, youngsters enjoyed their school’s Green Fun Day.

Pupils at Dogsthorpe Infants School, in Central Avenue, Peterborough, learned more about being eco-friendly while doing a variety of workshops.

These included building an “insect hotel” using wooden pallets, transforming old household items into musical instruments, playing wordgames with a biodiversity theme and building plastic sculptures.

Full service extended school coordinator Luke Payn said: “I found the day very inspiring, I wanted to get the message of the ongoing Peterborough Green Festival across to the pupils in a fun way. Hopefully this event has added to it in a positive way.”
