Winners to be revealed by soap star
EASTENDERS star David Proud will make an appearance at the Mobility Roadshow in Peterborough.
He will be announcing the winners of the national schools’ Ready, Willing and Mobile competition which invited children to come up with bright ideas that could help disabled young people.
While the roadshow takes place at the East of England Showground, in Alwalton, Peterborough from July 1 to 3, the disabled Desperados actor’s announcement will take place at noon on July 3 to coincide with National Young Disabled Persons’ Day.
The star-studded roadshow also features motor racing legend Sir Stirling Moss who will officially open proceedings at 10am on July 1.
And former England Rugby Union international, county cricketer and broadcaster Alastair Hignell CBE will be there throughout the day on July 2.
Other events lined up for the roadshow include a performance by the Red Wheelies scooter formation display team and more than 150 exhibitors showcasing their latest products.
There will also be seven new wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) launches taking place in the motoring arena.
