Borough teams most in touch

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Sport -

BOROUGH teams are setting the early pace in the Peterborough Lions Rugby Academy Touch League, which kicked off on Monday night.

Space Dockers and Boro Boyz both won all four of their games and are closely followed by PRUFC Colts.

It was a disappointing return to action for last year’s winners, N Class, who suffered from a lack of organisation and player availability.

Top try-scorer for the night was Tom Gillett of SICK with six followed by Paul Humphrey (Boro Boyz) and Chris Sheldon (Westwood) with five.

Tonight the new Wednesday League for the more social and age group players starts with 20 teams battling it out, including new teams from Thomas Deacon Academy, John Fisher, Westwood B and the Lions Academy.

All matches are held at the Lions base at Bretton Park.

FOUR TRIES: For Steve Bloodworth.
