Warn­ing about bike race road clo­sures

MO­TORISTS are be­ing warned about road clo­sures dur­ing the Hal­fords Tour Se­ries cy­cle race in Peter­bor­ough.

Cathe­dral Square, Bridge Street, the south­bound car­riage­way of Bourges Boule­vard, Cow­gate and Church Street will be blocked off from 2pm un­til about 9pm on Tues­day, June 15.

Driv­ers will not be able to en­ter or leave the city cen­tre via Pri­est­gate or Went­worth Street and there will be an on-street park­ing ban in Cow­gate, Pri­est­gate, Went­worth Street, Trin­ity Street and King’s Street be­tween 8am and 9pm and limited ac­cess to Long Cause­way be­cause race teams are park­ing their sup­port ve­hi­cles.

Traf­fic will be di­verted from Bourges Boule­vard via Thorpe Road, Longth­orpe Park­way, Nene Park­way and Flet­ton Park­way.
