world cup fever builds, the Brew­ery Tap is ready and wait­ing to wel­come Peter­bor­ough’s footie fans to watch the tour­na­ment.

The Tap will be show­ing live cov­er­age of the World Cup tour­na­ment on a 10 foot screen, which will be sit­u­ated in the main venue.

The pub, which show­cases award­win­ning ales from lo­cal brew­ery Oakham Ales, is no stranger to show­ing live events, as it reg­u­larly wel­comes Peter­bor­ough’s sport­ing pub­lic to en­joy live cov­er­age.

Man­ager Jes­sica Loock said: “We re­call the last World Cup and the at­mos­phere in the pub was elec­tric. We hope that we can recre­ate the same this time around, and hope that we see our na­tional team in the fi­nal.

“En­try to the venue dur­ing the world cup will be free, so we in­vite mem­bers of the pub­lic to ar­rive in good time on match days to avoid dis­ap­point­ment.”

The Tap is also the place to go for pub grub with a dif­fer­ence, as it is well-known lo­cally for its au­then­tic Thai cui­sine.

Food will be served food through­out the World Cup, and food ser­vice hours will be ex­tended to all day on Wed­nes­day, June 23, as Eng­land take on Slove­nia at 3pm.

A spe­cial World Cup meal deal will be avail­able on all match days from to­mor­row to Sun­day, July 11. This will be the chance to en­joy a suc­cu­lent Thai burger with Thai fries and a pint of one of the fol­low­ing Oakham brews – JHB, In­ferno, White Dwarf or Bish­ops Farewell – for a spe­cial price.
