Staff to stride out on trek for charity

The Peterborough Evening Telegraph - - Your Telegraph -

STAFF from a city firm will be striding out for charity on a 32-mile trek around the North Yorkshire Moors.

Ten workers at PR and marketing agency Media Matters will be swapping their offices in Commerce Road, Lynch Wood for the forests, moors, fords and hills when they attempt to complete the Hambleton Hobble.

They plan to do the two-day route around the western fringes of the North Yorkshire Moors on August 21 and 22 and hope to raise cash for NSPCC’s Peterborough Business Support Group, which helps fund projects that support vulnerable youngsters in Peterborough.

Managing director Peter Corder said: “We work brilliantly together nine to five but we wanted to set ourselves a goal that would challenge us all individually and as a team.

“The fact that we can use this exercise to raise money for a very worthwhile and local cause is even better.”

Anyone who would like to sponsor the team should visit their fund-raising page at www.justgivdiamatterspr
