Huntingdon Library will mark its first birthday with a special party during its opening hours tomorrow.

Since its opening last year, the library has welcomed 258,000 visitors, issued 265,000 books and received 4,200 new members.

Cambridgeshire County Councillor Sir Peter Brown, cabinet member for communities, said: “Through its excellent partnerships and in-house initiatives, Huntingdon Library is a perfect illustration of a library which offers a first-class service from the cradle to the grave.”
