Spotl­ght on jus­tice at event

CRIM­I­NAL jus­tice sys­tem was put un­der the spot­light at a con­fer­ence or­gan­ised by the Safer Peter­bor­ough Part­ner­ship.

More than 30 peo­ple came to lis­ten to how the sys­tem can beat anti-so­cial be­hav­iour at Kings­gate Con­fer­ence Cen­tre in Parn­well last Satur­day.

Chief In­spec­tor for Com­mu­ni­ties in Peter­bor­ough, Kevin Van­ter­pool said: “This was an in­spir­ing event where we heard a mov­ing ac­count of one woman’s strug­gle with anti-so­cial be­hav­iour and how with the help of the crim­i­nal jus­tice sys­tem she was able to move on with her life.

“The is­sue is high on the polic­ing agenda up and down the UK and for us in Peter­bor­ough it re­mains a key fo­cus.”
