PETEROROUGH were narrowly beaten in the Eastern Veterans League Fenland Division at King’s Lynn, finishing second and just four points behind Ryston.
The Peterborough team consists of veterans from any local clubs and John Herbert set a Werrington Joggers club record of 9.15.7 when winning the 3000m.
Ricky Huskisson of Nene Valley Harriers competed in four events in the Over 50 men’s age group, winning the 400m hurdles and finishing second in the other three.
Husband and wife Rod and Wendy Dunn of Peterbor- ough Athletic Club were both winners, Rod taking the Over 50 mile walk and Wendy winning the Over 45 200m. Veterans League Central Division at Cambridge.
She set a club veteran record when winning the pole vault, took two seconds off her personal best when third in the 200m and was second in the triple jump with another personal best.
Sue Cahill set a club veteran record in the mile walk, as did William Bradley in the Over 60 men’s category.
Wayne DuBose recorded three wins in the Over 50 men’s age group, setting a season’s best in the pole vault.
