Su­per Seach blasts to a new record at Cam­bridge

LILY Seach broke the Hunts Ath­letic Club Un­der 17 women’s 300m record by half-a-sec­ond in the East­ern Young Ath­letes League at Cam­bridge on Sun­day.

Seach’s time of 42.1 was also a club Un­der 20 mark and half-an-hour later she im­proved her 200m per­sonal best al­though it was not enough to bring a sec­ond win of the day.

Hav­ing won three races for the se­niors in the South­ern Men’s League a day ear­lier, Jor­dan Gill­banks again tack­led three events - im­prov­ing his 800m per­sonal best by 12 sec­onds.

Ha­keem Duck­worth-Porter was also back in just a day af­ter his sprint dou­ble for the se­niors won the Bstring 200m and was sec­ond in the A-string 100m.

Eleanor Smith (Un­der 17 women’s 1500m) was Hunts’ only other A-string win­ner while sis­ter Polly (Un­der 13 girls 1500m), Alex Clel­land (Un­der 17 men’s 800m), Harry Why­brow (Un­der 15 boys long jump) recorded B-string suc­cesses.
