Super Seach blasts to a new record at Cambridge
LILY Seach broke the Hunts Athletic Club Under 17 women’s 300m record by half-a-second in the Eastern Young Athletes League at Cambridge on Sunday.
Seach’s time of 42.1 was also a club Under 20 mark and half-an-hour later she improved her 200m personal best although it was not enough to bring a second win of the day.
Having won three races for the seniors in the Southern Men’s League a day earlier, Jordan Gillbanks again tackled three events - improving his 800m personal best by 12 seconds.
Hakeem Duckworth-Porter was also back in just a day after his sprint double for the seniors won the Bstring 200m and was second in the A-string 100m.
Eleanor Smith (Under 17 women’s 1500m) was Hunts’ only other A-string winner while sister Polly (Under 13 girls 1500m), Alex Clelland (Under 17 men’s 800m), Harry Whybrow (Under 15 boys long jump) recorded B-string successes.
